(Meta)-Genome sequencing and analysis

What are they capable of doing? Microorganisms play significant roles in our planet and our body. Thus, characterization of microbial community structure and functional diversity are critical in the field of microbial ecology. With recent advances in high-throughput sequencing technology and bioinformatics analysis, shotgun sequencing of total metagenomic DNA from entire microbial community or genomic DNA from a single microorganism can provide valuable blueprint of potential metabolic capacities of microorganism(s).

Step 1

DNAs are carefully extracted to obtained high quality genetic material from samples.

Step 2

Without target gene amplification, purified (meta)genomic DNAs are processed through library preparation for high-throughput sequencing.

Step 3

Large quantities of data produced by sequencing are primarily processed through quality checking process. High quality sequences are assembled and annotated via state-of-the-art bioinformatic pipelines. Finally, we can provide you with trustworthy information of potential metabolic capacities of microorganism(s).
